Hi, I’m CJ, the maker and face behind Flora and Fauna Designs!

I grew up in the beautiful country of Costa Rica and as a little girl I loved to make jewelry! I would make earrings and bracelets and sell them to our missions groups that would visit us from the US. So you could say I had an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age!

My husband and I moved to Ohio unintentionally in 2021 after our life was turned upside-down and we felt like we had nowhere else to go. As much as I dreaded moving to Ohio, I felt like I had a good community and felt purpose and joy in my little “hobby”.

Flora and Fauna started for me as a 2020 hobby, as a lot of small businesses did! My business actually started with the name CJ’s Macrame and I made macrame plant hangers and keychains! After a couple months of making macrame, I decided to try my hand at clay earrings and needless to say, the clay earrings became a passion!

If you would’ve told me five years ago that I would be making earrings for a living, connecting with other small businesses, and meeting amazing customers, I wouldn’t have even imagined it!

None of this would be possible without you! So thank you for being here. I have no words to express how grateful I am.
